I’ve been wanting to do something like this locally with A-OK, I love the concept an execution on this video by Sumit Paul.
Excerpt from iamthisland.org:
I AM THIS LAND is a response to a year of divisive rhetoric; it is Breakthrough’s call for a more positive and open-minded future for our country. The new year provides the opportunity to celebrate our diversity and recommit to building a society that values dignity, equality and justice.

Some really great typography and cinematography in these commercials for EF Language Schools directed by Gustav Johansson. The excellent examples of typography are thanks to Albin Holmqvist.

ill Studio has some typographic marvels over at their website including this piece from the 2007 illuminati exhibition at the Lazy-Dog gallery in Paris. I’ve found myself overly drawn to the white-on-white text look with only shadows to spell the words and this is a beautiful piece of balance and form with all the type chosen. It’s also hard not to get excited at how well they can work their logo into a piece, it’s my dream to make logo’s that work so well one day.
La Boca is an independent design circus based in Portobello, West London. They specializing in art & design for the film, music and fashion industries, all industries I’m really excited about but it’s their work on limited edition vinyl record sleeves that I have especially enjoyed.

Too cool, great experiment in Web Open Font Format (WOFF) support & design. It’s really neat if you’re not a nerd, too…
A quick poster I did for Earth Hour, the 60 contains facts about how much power is saved in different countries across the world.
This is from the Luke’s Beard everyday project for 2010. Taking one lyric from a song every day and creating art or taking a photo inspired from that lyric.
Love this picture, gives me a flashback to the video I made about 14 months ago.
“This is the Man” embodying a tough, classic, handsome, and intelligent person featured in a button up dress shirt, in bunny ears stating “Man Should Be Brave,” and in a trench and boots stating “Eat Meat. Dress Well.” The French Connection Manifesto states, “Men have lost the ungentle art of manliness. The man in the street doesn’t know what to bring to a knife fight. He gets nervous around large fish. He can’t tie a full Windsor. Men have forgotten how to snap a bra open with a click of their fingers—women are undoing their own bras to save time! Meanwhile guys are eating little portions of leaves and putting too much gel in their hair. They are wearing t-shirts with dope leaves and robots on them when they are over 22 years-old.”
